If your application is successful
If your application is successful at the interview stage, we will:
- issue you with a chaperone licence
- send you a chaperone ID card
How long your licence is valid for
Your chaperone licence is valid for up to 3 years as long as you register annually with the .
Annual checks
We will check your Enhanced DBS status on the DBS Update Service each year.
You will receive a new chaperone ID card annually provided you pass these checks.
We may revoke your licence based on:
- your DBS status
- concerns about the welfare and safeguarding of a child
- changes in your personal circumstances
- if your licence has expired and you have not made a new application
